A supplement to my grasses post from yesterday.
This one is Wall Barley (Hordeum murinum - which means 'mouse barley'). I remember throwing the dart-like flower heads at my friends - was that only last week? Wall Barley grows on waste ground and even in the cracks in urban pavement so is well known and easy to recognise,
