With leaves much more like stinging nettles than the red dead nettle, the white deadnettle even grows in amongst the stingers though it doesn't sting.
Bumble bees land on the lower lip to probe the tube of the flower for nectar and the black anthers under the hood of the flower dust their pollen onto the bees back. The bee then flies to another flower and transfers the pollen to the stigma, thus ferilising it.
